a. Configuration
This is where you can setup and configure the following:
i. Location View/Setup:
There is where you can create a location, configure its properties and print a location label for the warehouse.
-
– Location Properties: Depending on your level of access, you can toggle between one warehouse to another to see the locations and their properties (See property definition below)
-
– Receivable: This means that the location will appear when receiving a product either from the PO or RMA screen. Note that this is for receiving products ONLY and items in this location will be ignored when the system is auto deducting inventory when an order is shipped.
-
– Blocked: This means that the system will not allocate or deduct inventory in this location
-
– Fast Pick: This means that the system will check this location FIRST before for auto adjusting inventory when a “ship confirm” function is performed before it goes down to other locations. Examples
Example: SKU A has the following locations with Inventory
-
A01-01-01 Qty: 300 Fast Pick Location = YES
-
A01-02-01 Qty: 150 Fast Pick Location = NO
-
A01-03-02 Qty: 100 Fast Pick Location = NO
-
A04-01-01 Qty: 300 Fast Pick Location = YES
-
I03-04-01 Qty: 250 Fast Pick Location = YES
When an order (ship station) is ship confirmed or when a WO is “Started” or “Completed” The system will adjust the locations in this hierarchy
-
I03-04-01, because Fast pick is set to YES and it has the lowest inventory, if it down to 0 …
-
A01-01-01, because Fast pick is set to YES and Aisle +Bay “A01” is closer/smaller than Aisle +Bay “A04” on A04-01-01, if it’s down to 0 ..
-
A04-01-01, because Fast pick is set to YES. If it’s down to 0…
-
A01-02-01, because its Level “02” is lower than level “03” from A01-03-02
In summary, this is how the system auto allocate inventory:
-
It looks if Fast Pick is set to YES (checked) for the location(s) and whether is has the smallest inventory available?
-
If it is NO then look at the Aisle+Bay + Level and pick the smaller/closer of the two in distance and height.
-
– Virtual: This is a system created location, the user cannot modify or set a location with this property. However, this location gets the negative inventory as a result of shipping a production that is either not available or it’s in a location that is not pickable.
-
– Has Inventory: This filter is to be used to display location status by warehouse. If you have access to multiple warehouse, be sure to select the desired warehouse that you want to see.
-
– Inventory is auto pulled from locations that does NOT have Receivable and Blocked checked from the location in this order:
-
– You will need download both tools so that you will need to download to be able to print thermal labels
-
– If you check a location(s) and click on this Print, it will print out a location label(s)
-
– This will open a new window for you to create a location as showed below
-
– This will allow you to edit the properties or view the location. If a location has inventory, you cannot be able to edit its properties.
-
– This will delete the location
